Information about Qafqaz University
About the Qafqaz University, Baku:
Foundation
Qafqaz University was founded in 1993 with the decree of Azerbaijani National Assembly and the approval of Council of Ministers. This way, Turkish businessmen started their voluntary contributions to educational services through Cag Educational in Azerbaijan after its independence. Qafqaz University was the first and is the only foreign private university in Azerbaijan.
Mission
To produce people with a university education at international standards and with local and universal values. Also to raise the status of education in Azerbaijan to an utmost level. In addition to this, to gather pedagogical and technical background of the two countries playing an active partnership role in cooperation of Azerbaijan – Turkey.
The university has undertaken a role of being an educational bridge between Turkey and Azerbaijan. Combining on the one side an 80 year experience of law, administration and technical know-how of Turkey, and on the other side the best points of the Azerbaijani experience coming from a different system, and therefore displaying a positive difference from both Turkish and Azerbaijani universities.
Campus
Qafqaz University operated in two temporary service buildings in Baku from the day it was founded until the 2003-2004 academic year. However, these buildings of 4000 m2 were not sufficient as they were not large enough or technically satisfactory.
The Xirdalan campus, at the 16th km on the Baku-Sumqayit road, an area of 20 hectares was granted to the university with the efforts of the late President Haydar Aliyev. It began to serve in 2003-2004 and has demonstrated the start of a new era for the University. Our new service building where all the classrooms are situated has a 10500 m2 indoor area. This spatial factor is a major contributory element that has enabled the university to make much progress ever since. As a result of this, the number of the departments doubled and reached twenty. Student population has risen in the same period dramatically to 2500. In it’s final form with all the buildings completed the university will be operating with an indoor area of 55000 m2.

Qafqaz..... opportunity for something new
I am a former student of Qafqaz Univesität and have completed my Bachelor's there. When I'm pushed to studdex.com I was surprised that the university ever appearance in international meets. However Qafqaz is a place where you can study without woories, because in the course of years, the university always tries a high level of teaching and to bring international appearance in the world. My opinion: Study abroad in Qafqaz!
