What students say about Ivan Franko National University of Lviv
Olga Zaverova
Lviv
Im a second year cultural studies at the university of Lviv and so far I am pretty happy about how everything goes. Therefore a little contribution from my side to make to promote my university
Academics
Almost all of my professors have been extremely knowledgeable, skilled, helpful, and approachable. All students are on in very good relations with the professors and are able to get help when they need it. The teachers give really challenging but useful assignments and provide excellent feedback. We've also been exposed to some really great real-world challenges that have given us a greater insight in the practical world.
Social
The social scene at the Lviv University is ok although not as hopping as in the capital for instance. I was pretty luck to get a room at some students’ residence. The people I met there were all very open and willing to bong. So it was not too difficult to build a network of cool buddies and throw a few parties during the very cold winter days.
Overall it is a nice place to study, the academic quality is satisfying and there is also plenty to do in your spare time. Just don’t forget about the cold winters over here. So be prepared to wrap you up in thick coats ;)
